Article Reflection
- Find an article that is
informational, a success story, an opinion piece, how-to, event story, or
research. The article can be found in an online journal, personal or group
blog, online magazine, news outlet, or educator/media specialist website.
- Write a reflection blog post about
the article. This reflection is to be in essay form (not numbered list)
and is to include the following points:
- Summarize the main ideas from the
article
- Identify and explain something
you learned that you didn’t know or something you find interesting.
- Explain how you might use the
subject of this article in your future classroom - or - discuss why you
would not use it.
- Identify and define a new
technology term.
- For your blog post, also provide
3-4 tags (so that others may search by keyword) such as learning,
teaching, wiki, K-12 (or specific grade), history (or other content area)
- Create a citation for the article
in APA format - A great resource for quick citation is Son of Citation
Machine - http://citationmachine.net/index2.php?start=#
- Use a URL shortener to reduce the
size of the article URL – Google has a URL shortener found at - http://goo.gl/
Spelling and grammar count! Check your work.
I am not asking for a specific length reflection but would expect that you will write enough to complete your thoughts and satisfy the assignment.
Consider putting in an image, graph or chart to add interest in your blog post
