Educational Technology Philosophy Statement
As we discuss issues, concepts and technologies in EDS319,
it will be important for you to be aware of how this is affecting your educational
philosophy. The way that you view and feel about technology in the classroom,
school and world will impact the way you plan lessons, interact with students
and set goals for teaching.
As part of the Blog project for EDS319 you will create an Educational
Technology Philosophy. There is no such thing as “the perfect” philosophy– this
is to be based on your beliefs, experiences, opinions and interests regarding
technology use in education.
The following questions may help you get started writing:
- What is technology literacy?
- What is the role of technology in the classroom or school?
- How is the current learning experience different for the student versus when you were in school?
- What is the role of the teacher in a technology-rich classroom?
